It's September - time to start again.
September always fills me with a new sense of hope. It is not only a season for wooly hats and new leather boots, but it is a season for possibility and expectation. As I sit here in an armchair in Cornwall, my fingers tapping at my laptop, I'm exhausted from the year so far and I am very ready for a new start.
So far in 2013 I have moved to Brighton, lived in two different houses in Brighton, completed a qualification in journalism, moved back to London, started my first job as a journalist, broken up with two boyfriends, and gained approximately 15 lbs.
It has been incredible, tiring and painful.
As the leaves change colour and the wind turns our noses pink, I look forward to open fires and blankets, a deeper sense of contentment, a better understanding of myself, and a shit load of fun with the people I love.
As the (really fucking annoying) hashtag so rightly says - you only live once - so we really must free ourselves from any burdens and do what makes us happy. Like a big, fat, walking cliche.
I'd also like to lose a few pounds and get a nice stomach, but I'm trying out a new thing of being philosophical rather than vain.
